Flying in Switzerland

It was planes, trains, and automobiles, but we finally made it to Verbier. Thanks to Bob and Marion, who waited over two hours for us to arrive in Geniva, we caught the train to Martigny where one of our guides drove us to the chalet. We arrived about 9pm to cold left over dinner (excellent) and a good nights sleep.

Sunday was early to launch where I got my first flight in the alps. The conditions were just starting to turn on, but with retrieve already in the LZ and three flights standard for the day, I took off on an extended sledder to get a look around. The views are wonderful, and the flight was great.

Later in the day a front came in shutting down the flying, and rain is the word of the day for Monday as well. We expect to see the sun on Tuesday and be back in the air.

Whale watching in Cabo

We're back from a week in Cabo, spent relaxing, reading, and watching the whales. This year there didn't seem to be as many as the last time we were there in February, but they were seen every day, and never failed to give us a show. This year we did see something we had not seen before: the cow would go nose down at the surface, with her tail out of the water. Then she would slap the surface of the water with her tail again and again before going completly under. We could here the boom of tail hitting water, and RaeLynn thinks it's to stun the fish. Many times this display would also have the calf breaching right next to mom.

Most days one or the other of us would get a massage by the pool, which was very nice!
